Dr. Pastouk 's first dental degree
was achieved at the Kiev Medical University in Ukraine
in 1991, with the Dean's distinguished award for
perfect grades on final exams. Base on his academic
excellence, Dr. Pastouk was offered a position in
the department of Periodontology, where he devoted
himself to development of a comprehensive dental
implant program that was included in the annual curriculum
of dental students.
Being involved in academic dentistry
at the Kiev Medical University, he became interested
in implementing acupuncture into every day dental
procedures. Dr. Pastouk is determined to pursue this
path in his current practice, as another option for
patient pain management.
After relocating to the U.S. in
1993, Dr. Pastouk worked at University Hospitals
in Cleveland and actively participated in over 500
general and dental surgeries. After successfully
passing his National Dental Boards in 1998 and having
acquired tremendous experience in surgery, he was
honorably admitted to The Advanced Standing Program
in The College of Dentistry at Nova Southeastern
University in Fort Lauderdale. At graduation, he
was recognized for the highest clinical grade point
average as well as outstanding ability in clinical
dentistry.
In 2002, Dr. Pastouk returned to Cleveland and fully
dedicated himself to clinical dentistry with an emphasis
on implants and cosmetics. He continues to invest
a tremendous amount of time in continuous education,
and recently completed a year-long program in modern
dental implantology and advanced bone grafting in
Atlanta.
Giving back while helping
others is something Dr. Pastouk does with pride.
In 2001, he took time off to go to the Dominican
Republic to donate his time and expertise to underserved
kids. From May of 2002 he is an active participant
and treating doctor in a "Give Back a Smile" program
which restores dental health for victims of domestic
abuse.
He is an active member of The International
Stomatognatic Honorary Alliance (ISHA) and a Sustaining
member of The Academy of Cosmetic Dentists (AACD).
Also, he is distinguished as an Associate Fellow
of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID)
and a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral
Implantologists (ICOI).
