Our office strives to provide dental care based on our patients needs. Regular check-up intervals may vary from 3 months to 1 year. On your re-care visit you will receive an oral cancer screening, dental exam, cleaning and any necessary x-rays. Our hygienist will professionally polish your teeth to remove plaque, tartar, and stain to help you look and feel your best. Regular exams can save you money by alleviating small problems before they become expensive repairs. You are not purchasing a dental procedure; you are making an investment in your future dental and overall health.

White Fillings

This approach has become very popular because silver fillings are less attractive. They can be used to restore a decayed tooth or repair a defect. Our office provides composite resin fillings to our patients, which have several advantages over traditional silver fillings.

In the past, teeth were most commonly repaired with amalgam (silver) fillings or gold restorations. Thanks to advances in modern dental materials and techniques, teeth can be restored with a more aesthetic and natural appearance. There are different types of cosmetic fillings currently available. The type used will depend on the location of the tooth and the amount of tooth structure that needs to be repaired. This approach has become very popular because silver fillings are not safe and are less attractive. These restorations are quite durable and long lasting.

Root Canals

A root canal is a dental procedure that is used to remove diseased pulp tissue from the interior of a tooth. When the pulp becomes infected due to decay or injury to the tooth, the pulp must be removed from the center of the tooth and the canals of each root. Once an affected tooth's canals are sufficiently cleansed and shaped, they are filled with materials designed to prevent pain and infection from recurring. If you're told you need a root canal it means that you are able to save the affected tooth and preserve its functionality. The other alternative is to pull the tooth entirely. However, leaving that space empty may create other problems and the teeth may shift their position if the missing teeth are not there to hold the space. By replacing the missing tooth, a proper bite is maintained and the surround teeth are prevented from shifting.

If you decide to have the tooth extracted and replace it with a dental implant, bridge, or denture, the cost may be significantly more than the cost of a root canal.

Bridges

A bridge is an appliance that replaces missing teeth with artificial teeth that are anchored to adjacent teeth or implants. A bridge may be permanently attached (fixed) or removable and may last five to seven years or longer. Here at Dental Cosmetics Solutions, we place dental bridges that provide a natural appearance, reduce patient's risk of gum disease, and correct speech and bite difficulties. In addition, bridges will eliminate any surrounding teeth from shifting.

There are numerous types of bridges available, which can be made from various materials. Before a bridge can be created and placed we will evaluate and consult with you to tailor around your individual needs.

Dentures

Missing teeth can negatively affect speaking, eating, and the aesthetics of your smile. They also can cause your jaw to lose bone mass, your remaining teeth to shift, and your face to suffer alterations in appearance. Most importantly, missing teeth take away your ability to smile and laugh feely.

While we will do everything to prevent removing teeth, however sometimes this is the only option. As teeth or a series of teeth need to be replaced, we will create an attractive and well-fitting set of dentures for you.
